Cyclone Gabrielle Update

The Coromandel Peninsula took quite a hit from the Cyclone on the 13th and 14th February, 2023, and the previous cyclone. Thankfully there was no damage to Taigh na Mara B&B and I’m happy to report that we are “open for business”.
The roads in the region took quite a hammering and there continue to be some closures and ongoing road works, however, the main loop of SH25 around the peninsula is open to traffic, which means you can get here. Things do change, however, so you can keep up to date on the current state of roads via https://cfm.co.nz/roads/ or https://www.journeys.nzta.govt.nz/traffic (this site can be a bit slower to update and only has the state highway information).
